Delusional? No. According to MLB policy...every sample must be tested within 36 hours to be viable. His sample was tested after that window and therefore the results were not trustworthy. Therefore his "positive" test isn't trustworthy. And that is according to their own policy.

He didn’t get off on a technicality. In the MLB drug policy proper courier and deadlines for testing are mandatory AND essential for testing. It is mentioned over 20+ times that these conditions must be upheld. They were not.
