I’ve been to one World Series game. It was game 3 of the 1991 World Series. The Braves won in a 12 inning marathon. I was 12 at time and I remember that a man two rows in front of us passed out in the 7th inning. He woke up suddenly in the 12th right before David Justice scored on a single by Mark Lemke.
That was the Atlanta Braves first World Series win. I was there… my family moved to North Carolina that Winter so I wasn’t able to attend the other postseasons that followed. The 1991 series loss to the Twins still hurts over 20 years later. That’s the amazing thing about baseball. A true fan never forgets.
