Tough loss. The Braves played well enough to win today but a five run 2nd inning by the Diamondbacks was too much to overcome. Delgado pitched well for most of the game but came undone with two outs in the 2nd.
After giving up a single and a double Delgado walked the 8th and 9th hitters before giving up a grand slam.
Braves had plenty of chances to catch up but two hard hit double play balls killed potential big innings. It wasn’t our day.
Can’t win them all. Now it’s on the Dodgers.
